Fees and Insurance

Free Initial 20 Minute Consultation: Our initial consultation is provided free of charge. This time is intended to assess whether this type of therapy is a good fit for you, to make referrals to another type of therapist or to other healthcare professionals if needed, and to discuss fees, scheduling, confidentiality, and whatever other concerns you may have about the process. You can set up an initial consultation by phone, by email, or through the convenient secure client portal.

Standard Rate: My current standard rate is $170 per individual session and $220 per couples session.

Sliding Scale: In an effort to support all of those who wish to work for personal change, I reserve a number of sliding-scale spaces in my practice. If you feel like you would benefit from working with me but are currently unable to pay the standard rate, please inquire about this sliding scale. I am committed to working with you to find a solution that takes into account the financial hardship some people experience while seeking therapy.

Forms of Payment: Most of my clients choose to pay for their services using health savings accounts and credit and debit cards. However, I also accept cash and checks. Keep in mind, if you wish to pay with cash or check, you must pay at the beginning of your session.   *A valid HSA, credit, or debit card number is required to book an appointment.

Insurance Reimbursement: I bill Premera, Lifewise and First Choice Health Network insurance directly on my clients behalf. For those with other carriers I do not bill directly, but will provide a monthly statement that you can use to seek reimbursement from your insurance provider. Many of my clients find that a large portion of their therapy is covered by insurance. If you are planning to seek insurance reimbursement, you will want to call your provider prior to the start of therapy, and verify your in-network or out-of-network coverage information.
